How much does it cost to run the Air Ambulance?

We are constantly asking members of the public to help support us with donations but what exactly do we spend this money on?
The cost of keeping our two emergency helicopters in the air and saving lives is nearly £4 million a year. Every day of the year the air ambulance charity operates helicopters, medically equipped and carrying specially trained paramedics, to attend to people with life-threatening injuries or illnesses.
