A cheque for £1,200 was presented to Lynda Brislin, Charity Chief Executive of North West Air Ambulance, at Claylands Caravan Park, Cabus. The money was raised at a Fun Day and other events held at the Park and two round-robin bowling competitions and this is the fourth year proceeds have been presented to the organisation to help to save lives.
Lynda thanked Claylands’ proprietors Andrew Brewer and Alan Robinson and the Park holidaymakers for their continued support. “We do really appreciate your financial help. It’s only through the efforts of charities, organisations and people like yourselves that our vital service can continue to run successfully,” she commented.
Fun Day raffle organiser Sue Clowes reports that local traders helped to boost the funds. “More than 30 shops, businesses and local hostelries provided prizes for the raffle and we would like to thank them for their generosity,” she says, adding that proceeds from the bowling competitions held at The Crown Hotel, Garstang, in which 40 caravanners took part, also raised money for the fund.
