Diana Aspden

Diana Aspden

Diana lost her battle with cancer on 23rd November 2009. She leaves a loving family with a million fantastic memories.

Diana has been an avid supporter of the North West Air Ambulance for several years, partly due to her families involvement with bikes and horses, and has always been so impressed by the work they do.

One of her requests before she died was no flowers please, just donations to the air ambulance instead.

She is forever in our hearts.

For only knowing you for such a short time you personified what a lady should be. My Dad has lived in Sunderland all of his life, but said when he met you, you knew more about the area than he did, and what an interesting lady you were. Obviously during your travels near and far you enjoyed every minute.

Rest In Peace

The first morning I met Diana her hair was stuck up on end, she was in her dressing gown, and rather than question who the strange girl was in her kitchen, she said 'bacon butty love?' Not only was she Robin's Mum, but she was my friend. I have so many happy memories that will stay with me forever, and our grandchildren will know what an intelligent, fun and happy person their Grandma was. She was beautiful in every way and I will miss her everyday. Love you xxxxxx

I am so proud to have been able to call Diana my friend. She dazzled like the brightest rocket in the sky, yet she could wrap you in love like a soft warm blanket. She has been part of my life for so long, I loved her and John and always will, my life was better for knowing her. Without her there is a little piece of my heart that is missing. See you again one day and we will walk and laugh in the sunshine. x x x x
